naturally shed jewel beetle bracelet
I’m not sure I believe that these Jewel Beetle elytra were “naturally shed” unless you consider pulling off their wing covers as such but it is beautiful nonetheless. Beetles do not molt once they are in the adult form, since they go through complete metamorphosis, and once they receive their wings they are in the final stage and therefore no longer grow.
